May 01, 2008

Hi fellow physics people. Happy first day of May! I will scribe for today I suppose.
So the first thing that happpened was to see who finished their presentations. From all the sideway glances and blank stares, you could tell who didn't. However Rosel was the only one who presented today and her project on the development of the telescope was brilliant. Good Job!

Afterwards, we worked on the worksheets that we recieved from the substitute teacher yesterday. Then we went over the four questions on the worksheet, Universal Law of Gravitation. It was pretty straight forward. One thing that I found particularly interesting was the formula derivation to make answering the last question easier. I have illustrated it for people here.

Well that's it! I look forward to seeing the presentations tomorrow.

Very good job using the two formulae to produce one equation to solve for g. Thanks for posting.

Lina, can you fix the formula so the final equation is g = ....
not Fg

What an unsightly, horrific mistake on my part. Thanks for correcting me Ms. K

It wasn't THAT horrific. Thanks for fixing it up :)
